Technology veteran to speed momentum of carrier-approved indoor wireless coverage solutions worldwide
Ottawa, ON, Jan. 31, 2005 - Spotwave Wireless, the only carrier-approved provider of indoor wireless coverage solutions for North American carriers, today announced the appointment of Paul Tinney as the vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Mr. Tinney has a proven track record in sales, marketing and general management in the global wireless market. Overseeing all of Spotwave's worldwide sales and marketing activities, Mr. Tinney will lead the drive to grow the company's expansion plan into new geographical markets. He will play a substantial role in the company's plan to forge strategic partnerships that will enhance Spotwave's product and service offerings to customers worldwide.
Mr. Tinney joins Spotwave from SS8 Networks, where he held the position of vice president and general manager of the company’s security solutions group. In this role, he was part of a management team that led the company to become the leading provider of carrier solutions for network surveillance and monitoring.

In his more than twenty years of technology experience, Mr. Tinney has held senior management positions at Space Imaging, LLC and Adaptive Broadband Corporation, where he was the senior vice president of global sales and operations. Additionally, Mr. Tinney held various senior positions at Motorola, where he played a key leadership role directly impacting the forging of new markets and revenue growth.

Mr. Tinney holds a B.A. in International Relations from Brigham Young University, and a Masters in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina.
